Monterey is a nice small hotel in Ginza, within walking distance of one of the most lively shopping area of Tokyo and of all sorts of dining places, from affordable to luxurious. Service is courteous and efficient. Rooms, although quite small, common by Japanese standards, are well equipped. One negative point is the lack of any English language channels (or any other foreign languages, for that matter). Again, this is not uncommon in Japan.

It is a good location for people who aren’t afraid of walking around. Friendly and helpful staff who great you as you walk into the hotel with “okaerinasaimaese” which essentially means welcome home or welcome back.

The location is very convenient because it's walk distance from Ginza 4-chome, Ginza-1-chome, JR Yurakucho station. The hotel is nice and clean with good amenities and cleaning services. However, my room that a queen bed for a single use has only two power sockets, which may not be ideal for charging your phones, watch, etc.
