Marriot Dream: Hope to Make It a Safe Space
I had no idea what to expect really. I felt like most of the other reviews were subtle or not detailed enough. So of course, I was unsure going in, and planned to attempt a better review. So yes, service at check-in was calming, respectful, clear and concise. Though I did not spend time in the lobby, it looked very festive and tidy/clean. The room was about 98% clean, the refrigerator could've been cleaned better. The bathroom, which is the most important for me, was spotless, was the cleanest hotel/motel bathroom I've ever seen. No strands of hair left behind. Yuck!! The bed was very comfortable, floor/carpet appeared to be cleaned. No odors, no stains. I say this because I comfortable walking in my comfy socks and barefoot, which IS NOT typical for me at most stays. I felt very safe, relaxed and content in my two nights there. One night as I prepared for bed the membership advertising short film really grabbed my attention. It was about Black, and Queer/LGBTQIA+ folk feeling and being inclusive in their travels. As I Am both Black and Queer, it actually has me considering becoming a member. So honestly, I cannot wait to stay again. {The only real con: was that the top of the microwave on my floor was dirty. I'm sure a guest simply did not clean up after themselves. And it was the holiday and I know housekeeping wasn't there.That's it.}

We had such a great time at this hotel. The marketplace food was great! Try the Hot Honey garlic Fried Chicken sandwich, you won’t be disappointed. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

1st time visiting
It was a very clean hotel. Loved walking into the lobby and it smelled so good. They have a Starbucks which was a plus. The rooms were very clean, spacious and the staff were so nice and helpful. This hotel is close to airport, mall and so many food places to choose from. I would definitely stay here again, so welcoming! This was my 1st time visiting Washington. Great experience!

Property is good value for the price, close to Reagan airport. The staff & the brasserie are both excellent. For transport to the airport at 3am the staff suggested using Lyft or Uber as the taxis are unreliable. Great suggestion & good to know. I used Lyft for the first time to get to the airport at 3am & it was a wonderful experience.

“Wonderful” is overrated.
I don’t know how they received the Wonderful grade. The bedding was just 2 star grade and the room interior was also very outdated.
