Not a good place to stay, the room I was given had a bad musty mouldy smell, the reception staff didn’t think that was much of a problem however managed to change rooms and this room smelt like bleach, the toilet seat was half broken and shower attachment was very loose on the wall. One door key didn’t even work and the other only worked half the time and sounds like other people had similar problems with the noise of guests banging their door. This is at the best maybe a three star hotel but asking 4star price. I would suggest staying anywhere else but this hotel.

Location was perfect. Booked a day trip to Green Island, the marina was just across the road, easy walk to casino and esplanade. Walked to Cairns Central, took around 10 mins. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. I would recommend to family and friends without hesitation.

Great Location and Staff
The hotel is in a great location surrounded by many restaurants and walking distance to the waterfront and supermarket. We had the king executive room which was spacious with a huge bathroom and double sinks. Bed was comfortable but storage space was barely enough for one person. The wardrobe was tiny with no shelves but with a huge open space next to it which should have been used to extend the wardrobe. The lounge needs replacing as it was hard and uncomfortable at one end. Pool area had very comfortable furniture with a good mix of sunny and shady spots. Staff were fantastic, very helpful and parking for two nights was very cheap. Apart from the few negatives we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Great location
Friendly staff, check in was fast, room was clean and very comfortable. Location is great, close to the harbour, esplanade and the city centre. Hotel was busy and at times noisy with large groups but that’s expected with a big hotel. Pool area was nice with nice furniture. Would stay again and will recommend.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Pacific Hotel Cairns. We loved staying there because of its central location, spacious rooms with balconies and lovely views from rooms at the top foors of the hotel. .
