The drive to the hotel was very confronting for new arrivals in LA. We were scared to get out of the car. When we entered the hotel lobby it was clear that the pictures on Wotif are very different from the reality. We booked 11 months in advance and were given a room that you would expect in a hostel not a VERY expensive hotel. The windows had no double glazing and were difficult to lock so it was extremely noisy and concerning for our safety as the surroundings are dodgy. We rang down to reception to see if there was another option but were told no. They then said because the lift wasn’t working we could check out and get a full refund if we wanted. We found another hotel for the exact same price which was so much better than the awful room we were offered and we left within 30 minutes of attending. Did not even stay, the photos are deceptive and I felt I had put my children at risk with the area. Not recommended at all.
