Nice but memorable for the wrong reasons

Couple of significant issues. 1. there were trees outside each window in the room that would scrape against the window pane when a breeze would pick up that was like nails on a chalkboard. 2. when I went to call the front desk I noticed there was no phone in the room. OK I thought to myself, just a new thing about modern hotels? Tried to call the front desk from my cell phone and the line just rang and rang. It was 8 o-clock in the evening So for such a nice hotel it was not very peaceful or quiet and it should NEVER be difficult to contact a hotel front desk, let alone impossible

This hotel is great! The pool is amazing, and the rooms are cozy. My only complaint is that they don't supply bath mats. It's strange to leave these out when there is not even a shower door. They also don't have enough places to hang wet towels, so we ended up using more towels than we would typically use.

Staff were perfectly friendly and prompt. We felt taken care of. Layout of the hotel is very easy to get around. The stairwell was like a museum that was a treat. The Valet, Fred , was a great asset for getting around info. We walked to the Forever Cemetary , which was beautiful. Only trouble we had was a blown fuse when we had a hair dryer and a electric tea kettle ( provided in the room) plugged in and going in the same outlet at the same time. We called and it was remedied immediately. We also called about the tv malfunctioning. They sent a guy to help. But he couldnt figure it out. We messed with it and it started working again. Did not have drinks at the bar but we loved the cafe downstairs. Great food and great service busy but worth the wait awesome bread. Down the street we had great burrgers at For The Win. And there was a convinient market/ liquor store. Also a Detroit Pizza Depot we kept wanting to try all weekend but the place wasnt open. Beautiful area as well. We Ubered right to the Hollywood Bowl within minutes and were able to get back after the show by uber. It does help to walk a few blocks away from the venue to catch an easy ride.

Everything was perfect. However when I was looking for hotels in the area I chose this one because it said “free parking” which was not the case as valet was required. Everything else was good the hotel was very well put together, decorated, and clean.

First the good, the location is hard to beat if you are looking for something walkable to the Hollywood blvd to search for your favorite star(s) on the floor, or an easy drive to Hollywood Studio and the Griffith Observatory. Hotel price was reasonable for the area as well. It also has a pleasant Hollywood stars vibes going for it inside. Next the confusing, the Hotel has apparently changed its name several times, it was called the Franklin Hollywood when we visited in April 2025, which is more an issue if you are driving there for the first time. And speaking of which, the parking fee there are falsely advertised online. It was not $10 per night (that is apparently the parking fee for the bar patrons), it was $34/night for parking. (and it is valet parking only). Which leads to the not so great for some, but great for others. We came in family mode (with a 10 year old in tow), and the nights can get rather loud. We were hearing loud booming music sounds coming in after midnight. But if you are here to party, well, there appears to be a happening bar on the premises.

We went to Hollywood to see a play at the Pantages and this hotel was very conveniently located just a few blocks away from the theater and other famous sightseeing spots. The restaurant next to the hotel, the Clark Street Diner is an iconic Hollywood coffee shop not to be missed. It was really fun to look at all the photos of the film stars of a bygone era throughout the property. And last but not least, great service from the Valet parking team. A clear thumbs up!

We had such a difficult time finding the hotel as it was called something completely different! We hadn’t been given any notification in advance, and when I finally walked in to the Franklin to ask “Where is The Adler?” the clerk said they were going through a name change. This building’s facilities are tired. The lobby looks nice, and clearly, they’re trying to do something with the decor, but all the small details give it away. The lift smells of burning rubber, not all the buttons light up and a lot of the call buttons on the different room levels are broken. As for our room, again, the decor is nice enough. The linens, however, were dirty. Our coffee machine didn’t work and even though we’d been given an extra hour (the only late check out option is 12pm instead of 11am), a cleaner burst into our room - without knocking! - at 11:40am! The noise level is insane - it is so loud. The road nearby is loud and you can hear everything that happens outside your door or windows so clearly. The windows may as well not be there, the traffic was that loud.

Great atmosphere. Wonderful restaurant and lounge on site. The rooms were very clean and well-appointed. The staff at front desk was a little too casually dressed in sweats and hoodies, detracting from the Hollywood ambiance.

Top notch from the getco. Awesome food at the diner, bar my boi Alex, and the blonde bartender were great. Pool was a nice eay to relax as it was heated. Everything was phenomenal for our 1st time visiting California

The atmosphere is wonderful. So many pics to look at. The Adlers name is not visible from the outside of the building. We drove around and around not realizing it’s the Hotel Franklin. Since I was driving during the day, didn’t see the email explaining the valet. Valet is not a personable guy! Was surprised that parking was $35 cuz parking was listed under amenities. Feel it should show parking $. Beautiful shower, big room.
