Rooms were roomy and clean…. But a couple of things; the shower and sink drained VERY slowly and I felt like the walls were kinda thin. We can hear doors slamming from the rooms next to us and we can also hear the kids making noise.

Had a wonderful stay in Monterey Bay this weekend. The hotel was in a convenient location, about 5-10minutes from attractions on the wharf or cannery row. We stayed in a balcony suite and it was well worth it. We could see to the ocean and hear the barking of seals and otters at night from the balcony. The indoor pool was what sold the property to us. The water is very warm and comfortable and with a nice little jacuzzi as well. Seating is sparse and late at night they don’t replenish the pool towels (or often) but it was a great warm way to wind down at the end of a night. Oh, and the rooms are surprisingly well insulated from sounds. The hotel was fully booked and we couldn’t hear outside noises of cars or people. We stayed next to a crying baby and we could only ever hear it when we went outside of the room.

The customer service was great. The rep that I spoke with when I checked in was great as well as the rep that I spoke with want to checking out The room was okay I would say pretty dated though as it looks like they were trying to do some cleaning forehand but left some things behind in the room but I was just glad to be in a safe place that was close to all the attractions other than that if you're coming to Monterey and you want to be kind of budget friendly I would definitely check out stargazing ends and sweet sweets and in!

Great location and we loved the setup of the rooms. The suite was very accommodating for our group. Terrific value for the price. There is even some limited covered parking. Unfortunately, we returned late from dinner and the parking lot was full. Staff warned us this may be possible and we were able to park on the street out front, but it is something to be aware of if you arrive or return late. Also, the beds were good, but a little stiff for our taste. Overall, this was a great experience. The location is perfect for walking.

The blinds did not do a very good job blocking incoming light at night. We had to hang a blanket from home over the blinds which helped a little bit. The lights outside each room are extremely bright! We did not sleep very well as a result. Very disappointing.

Sometimes a good deal is not a good deal. I arrived at the hotel and the power went out. I was able to get a key but they couldn’t officially sign me into the room. That’s okay, things like that can happen. Not every hotel has a backup generator. Not being able to see the room there was no way to truly see the room. The bed was a futon mattress and my shoes stuck to the floor. I could hear every step I took. The room next door opened and there was a lady smoking in the room with a red portable light. She was looking down the hall as if she was expecting a John to show up in order to render services. Worst place I ever went to and I hope this hotel gets band from this Application.
