The staff were courteous & responded quickly when we had questions or needed something. The rooms were clean. It’s a budget hotel and didn’t expect everything to be renovated, but much is and kept very clean. It’s within a very short drive to all the places to visit in Monterey.

Caretakers of this vintage hotel have been doing an amazing job. I’ve been coming here for years. This visit I noticed new modern styled drapes, ac/heating system that is amazing quiet. New alarm clock with usb connection, new tv and cable system. The sushi place in now a diner! I just stayed one night but wished it was all week! Management and staff always amazing!!

The only reason I had booked it was for the pool as well as for the price, of course didn’t tell us that the pool was down/closed. We found out through another guest. The refrigerator in our room didn’t work… it was an okay room and okay stay but if I visited again I wouldn’t stay there again.
