This is a Hotel that knows who they are and from the valet Parking to the front desk they believe their overhype of being better and that lacking service is acceptable based on the fact that you are staying in one of San Diego best hotels. Unfortunately the electricity went out forcing me out of the shower and doing the excercise of walking 17 floors with a fellow security guard. The waiting on the lobby with shop in your body was of little concern but if does demonstrate that this hotel it’s not prepared to accept emergencies.

This was my second time staying here and I absolutely love it. The staff is amazing and the rooms are nice. The location is right in Gaslamp so there is no need to drive anywhere. It is near good restaurants and bars. I will continue to stay here anytime I am visiting.

Booked a suite, it was spacious, had a balcony with a nice view, super close to Petco Park where I went for an event. Can’t give it 5 stars because the suite didn’t have a fridge, the couch in my room needs replacing and I’m not a fan of their bathroom/shower set up. It’s a cool place though, bed was comfy, I enjoyed looking at some of the memorabilia they have in the lobby. Staff was friendly.

First time at a Hard Rock hotel, probably the last
We stayed there for 4 days for an international conference and chose Hard Rock hotel due to proximity to the convention center. The hotel itself was quiet, sleek and modern. Unfortunately, our room was cleaned once despite asking for dally services. Front desk was quick and professional but the valet people were gruff and impertinent. My simple question to ask for their street address seemed to be an imposition. Nobu is closed for lunch and opens 530 which was too late for our purposes, so we missed out. We usually stay at other chains because of frequent flyer etc, but thought of availing of something novel. In the end, it was not special or worth the extra expense.

Hotel is very trendy and located right off the main path, but close enough to reach everything. Renting a guitar to play in my room or a record player with vinyls is the coolest thig ever! I have stayed here before and will return again.
