We had a great experience Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, especially the friendly staff like Basel in the front office, and Sonia (F&B). Also, the office responded to our request about investigating a loud noise that is coming from the next room. The security were so nice to call and check on us. I highly recommend this hotel for family and friends. We will visit it again.

Overall, the stay was fantastic. The only drawback is when we returned to the hotel from a day site-seeing we without electricity in our room. Although the problem was a citywide issue, I would have assumed that the hotel's backup generator would have supplied electricity to the entire hotel and not just the front desk area. Despite that glitch my wife and I were still impressed with out stay and would definitely return.

While this is a nice hotel, the prices are beyond gouging. 7 dollars for a Diet Pepsi in the market place store is ridiculous. When you book you are given a price for a room which I will admit is decent, but then comes all of the fees, resort fee, destination fee and the list keeps going. I can appreciate a nice hotel and I don’t mind paying for it, but this place was beyond extreme. I won’t be staying here any more. This is my third time here and it has only gotten worse. Hyatt, do better and create great experience with all the pricing up front. Someone needs to review that.
