I recently stayed at The Wayfarer with my husband and 5 year old. Overall, we had an excellent stay. The staff is wonderful; they were friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time. I love that you can text the front desk, instead of calling or walking to talk to someone. Upon arrival, we upgraded our room to an ocean view with a separate space for our son. It was worth it for the view, separate space, and the fun bunk bed! The rooms were clean, quiet, and the whole hotel has a fun surfer vibe. Features that we loved include the Bluetooth speaker in the room, stylish robes, games in the lobby for early arrival, laundry availability ($2.50 per machine, which you can independently operate with an app), proximity to the beach and tons of places to eat on the boardwalk. The photos of the pool area do not do it justice - it is so beautiful and comfortable! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to San Diego, with or without a family. Thanks for a great experience!

The location is pretty awesome. Right on the beach, but hotel was not that nice and being on the first floor there was a lot of noise from above. I usually do vacation rentals and would recommend that over staying at this hotel.

Such an amazing hidden gem. We took our kiddos to the beach then we were able to enjoy the heated pool the remainder of the day. Shops and great food all within walking distance. We loved this hotel.
