Great Hotel at a great location

Review for Avania Inn of Santa Barbara We had a fantastic stay at Avania Inn! The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk to the beach, harbour, and restaurants, making it easy to enjoy everything Santa Barbara has to offer. The rooms were spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and well-equipped with plenty of amenities. From the cosy beds to the little extras that made the stay more convenient, everything was thoughtfully arranged. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

I like that it’s a few blocks from the beach.i like that a 7-11 is a few blocks away to buy wine. And room had a mini fridge. Room was clean too and cute redecorated. But the walls are so thin I could hear my neighbors on all sides partying all night and cars coming and going in the parking lot feet from my bed. I like that I had a balcony but too bad basically in a parking spot with cars and people staring at me. There’s a park across the street but homeless people using the bathroom..

Clean, quiet location within walking distances

Quaint place. Great location where quiet, but in walking distance to main attractions. Breakfast option was decent. Eating area was very clean, especially when not in use. Some of the food was not the freshest, but it will do to fill hunger. Some inconveniences: *ice maker is down in lobby; *room telephone was not working: I suppose we are required to either walk to lobby or use our cell phones; *TV was a challenge to turn on every time we want to use it. We have to find some invisible switch under the tv to switch the source etc etc *water pressure was horrible; this is one way for us to avoid showering as it takes forever to rinse off any soap Other than above, staff was very friendly, place was overall pretty clean

Find a better hotel

This hotel is very basic, and quite overpriced. There was nothing wrong but nothing very nice either; no luxury as one would expect from a hotel charging $300 per night. The swimming pool is tiny. Maid service is only offered every 3 days. Rooms are clean but small. The ftee breakfast was a nice touch, and the staff friendly if overworked. But this is hardly the overall effect one would expect ehrn tourism is declining. Nobody has told these folks.

Liked the room deco and comfortable bed. Enjoyed pool and jacuzzi area. Breakfast was good. Great location. Had tv operation issues. Had to call for help twice. Shower issues included taking awhile for water to heat up , pretty weak and became slippery. Overall satisfactory value.

Comfortable, cute room near the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. Couldn’t figure out the heat/AC and couldn’t access normal cable but a staff member came to our room and helped resolve issues right away. Definitely an older motel style place (as many are in these awesome beach towns) but upgraded with fun interiors/lighting. In town for college tours. Would recommend if you’re trying to save some cash for college or a great dinner at Brophy Bros. Accessible distance to harbor/water and State St.
