The noise from neighbouring rooms and hallway was bad. Woken at 4:00 am by loud talking in next room. Walls aren’t sound proof. Room was small, but clean.

Nice hotel situated in one of the best parts of Singapore in my opinion, a stone throw away from the Little Indian and the Arab Quarter as well as one stop away from Bugis district. Lavender MRT station os only 2 min walk away from the hotel. Overall this hotel is clean and staff is friendly and efficient, easy transaction, no time wasted and no nonsense.

We booked a room with city view breakfast. The personnel at the front desk were extremely rude, they made us wait more than 45 minutes and they told us many times they couldnt find our reservation. Some of them were texting and watching videos on their phones while we were waiting. The front desk person Kim, was extremely rude and unprofessional, they even raised the voice when we asked about the breakfast and she yelled at us that we dont have breakfast included despite showing her all the reservation documents stating the breakfast. The room was full of dust, nothing like the one from the photos, and we were able to hear everything from the neighbor rooms. We call the front desk and the same person Kim yelled at us on the phone. After many emails between expedia and the hotel, they provided breakfast for only one of the two rooms that we booked. We asked again many times just to be treated disrespectfully by the front desk personnel. We have asked for a refund for the breakfast that we weren't allowed to take and the hotel already refused it.

The hotel is fine for a budget hotel, but the booking through Expedia was problematic; it took ages to find my reservation and then I had booked with the breakfast which the hotel didn’t know about. It got sorted out but it used up time and was a pain in the a**e.

Rooms are extremely small and walls are paper thin. You can hear others talking or their cell phone ringing in the next room. Overall it’s fairly clean. It has a nice pool and is in a decent location that’s a short walk to the mrt.

In my view this hotel is closer to a 3 star facility. The room was basic with wear and tear and my bedsheets had holes in them on two occasions. The complimentary toiletries were not a separate shampoo and conditioner, which is not what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. The walls were thin and I could hear next door using their hair dryer numerous times. The WIFI was generic for the hotel and then room-specific once you got upstairs. Unfortunately, my room WIFI dropped out numerous times. Finally, though the rooms and lobby were air-conditioned, the lifts were not and when you're on the 19th floor it was a long way with other guests stopping off. Though not overall unpleasant, I would not recommend this hotel. 6/10

Cheap but disappointing
Boss hotel is cheap, and it shows. It’s packed full of Indian and Chinese tour groups. The lobby is rammed with tour buses and minibuses all day long. The rooms are tiny and our shower drain smelled revolting, despite me reporting it to maintenance and housekeeping. The room was tiny. The fridge was nice and cold and the AC was either freezing cold or off. The price reflects this though as it is a cheap and modern hotel. Would I stay there again? Not a chance. If you are Indian or mainland Chinese then it’s great, but for westerners it’s not.

Average hotel, good for a convenient area near MRT and food. There were tiny ants noted in the room, around the tables, window sills. Very small, did not bother me too much but that could have been improved on.
