The reception is only open between 9.30am and 3pm. No after-hours number or service.
On arrival, the room smelt awful (not sure why, but suspect the cleaning products used). The advertised sofa bed was also not fit to sleep on. We also discovered that the shower flooded the bathroom when used. Tried to report these issues to management, but the only phone number was not manned until the following morning.
To make matters worse, there is only one lift call button, but one of the lifts does not have the necessary buttons to go to higher floors (where our apartment was). If, however, that lift is at ground floor, the call button opens it and does not call another. On two seperate occasions, we spent 15 minutes waiting for someone to come down in a different lift before we could go to our floor.
The next day, the management informed us that they would look at the problems whilst we were out. On our return, we found that they had attempted to fix the shower, but had left wet towels all over the bathroom floor. When we ran the shower, it began to flood again after a couple of minutes.
They did nothing about the sofa bed.
We tried to contact them but, once again, the only number was no-longer manned.
As we were travelling with 2 adults and 3 children and needed a functional room, we checked out early and moved to different accomodation. When we requested a refund for the nights we didn't stay, however, Aussie Escape Apartments refused. Dreadful service and experience
