The room had a broken bedside light. The bathroom had a cracked airvent and black mould in corners. No window to open and only a fan for cooling the room. The bed was on wheels so I couldn't sit up and lean back as the bed rolled away!

Read the Reviews!!! I didn’t until after my stay and had all the same issues as others. The room was not clean there was rubbish under the beds, no top sheet and mattress protectors were stained. Hole in the ceiling. Beds are on wheels that don’t lock so roll around as you sit and lay on them as the room is not carpeted. The rubbish bins were not cleaned just a new bag put in over top of the yuck. You have to be a contortionist to use the toilet paper that is positioned on the same wall as the toilet. Key cards are inserted and half the time didn’t work especially in the elevator. If you need to leave your luggage in a holding area you run the risk of it being stolen as it’s not staffed you put it in and take it out yourself along will all the other ppl staying there. $100 bond has not been returned after 1 week of stay I’ve emailed with no response as yet. However the staff were all friendly and we had no trouble with them and the location of the hotel was fabulous with Spencer st station just up the road and lots of eateries around. Will not stay here again but will definitely look for places around this area again.

First and foremost: I DO understand it's a budget hotel. But there's budget, and then there's pubic hair on the edge of the bathtub, a cracked sink and dust that's been there with the dinosaurs. And a stench of smoke in a non-smoking room. Might have something to do with ventilation — the whole floor smelled like an ashtray. I don't know if everybody gets that lucky at YEHS or just us, but our experience was for sure below expectations. At least the bed was okay, and location's good. P.S. To the hotel: I hope you guys can fix this. Because it's not the fancy that people need from you - it's just clean and neat.

Two broken elevators for past 4 Days ! Offered a room on Floor 8. - I’m in my mid 60s. Took a room on floor 3 after protest. Keycards did not work when I got back from work function and someone had accessed the room in my absence- stuff was moved.

Great location
Basic comfortable hotel. Great convenient location to everything I needed. I was only in city 2 nights for concert at Marvel. Only problem was lift not working and had to carry heavy bag up/ down 3 flights. Staff wonderful.

The elevator was broken for the entire 3 days I was there. I was made to walk up 12 flights of stairs every time I came back to the hotel. My room was next to the stairwell door, which slammed shut all night when people returned. On top of that, the aircon was not working in 30 degree heat. I had to ask 3 times for it to be fixed. The staff giggled when I asked if it had been fixed yet and same when I asked about the elevator being repaired. I demanded a room on the first floor with a working aircon, which they begrudgingly agreed to. Both rooms were dirty with a musty horrible smell. Probably the worst hotel experience of my life.

checked in on Friday evening and was told that the elevator was not working (staying on 6th floor). then found out it hadn't been working since Wednesday. the hotel had ample time to let us (and other guests) know about this situation but clearly misled people to avoid justifiable cancellations. no discount or other compensation offered. about as poor a scenario as I have ever seen.

This property was the worst place ever full of mould on blinds, ceiling bathroom and the shower mat. Deadful noise of like running water all night had to getmoved after 2 nights because of no sleep, the second room was full of mould. Would not recommend this to anybody.

The majority of guests is Asian student; Can smell their cooking. The tivi is extremely old with 2 up/down buttons remote controller. The feeling is depressing.
