I didn't find my room haunted, but the customer in front of me at checkout noticed a few odd occurrences such as shadows and strange noises. The room is retro looking with hardwood flooring, nothing on the walls, a single dorm type refrigerator, a bed, two nightstands and two lamps. There is an old-style rotary dial phone and FM radio in the room. The lamp has two USB ports for charging devices. Other than that, the only two electrical plugs are in the bathroom, which is nice, but the room is quite small. The shower curtain rod was hanging on by a wing and a prayer and fell down when I placed a towel over it. It was spring loaded, so I was able to put it back up myself. I parked at the Four Queens, which will validate free parking for the Hotel Apache at Binion's. There is one cafe inside, which is quite pricey (a cup of coffee is $5), but the service is good, and the staff is friendly. There's a bit of noise in the hotel room, due to activity going on the Fremont Street Experience, but I was able to block it out by just turning the TV on. I would stay here again, simply due to the fact there are no resort fees, which typically run about $40 a night elsewhere. I paid for a premium room which is $20 a night higher than the standard room. I don't know exactly what the difference is, but it appears that the premium room has a queen size bed and windows with curtains that you can open and close and look out of. The standard room has a full size bed without windows.
